30th Birthday OOTD

Yesterday I turned 30! It seems so weird to say that. It sounds so old to me because I don’t feel like I’m that old! I had a fun day celebrating with Jr and Jaden. We went to one of my favorite brunch spots in the city, Zazie, and I wore this cute ruched dress. I love the color, and it will be great paired with a cardigan and boots when the weather is cooler. It’s a really versatile dress that can be worn dressed up or dressed down, and these heels are so comfortable to walk around the city in since they have a chunky heel.

Fall Vibes + The Most Comfortable Heels

These tones give me all the fall vibes! I’m loving this look because it’s so cute and also comfortable! These leggings are some of my favorites because of the cute moto detailing, and this sweater is great for layering when the temperature starts to get cooler. One of my favorite parts of this look is the shoes. I’ve been obsessed with them ever since I got them and they’re actually so comfortable! I have another pair from this brand, and they’re also unbelievably comfortable and so lightweight. I would highly recommend Schutz if you’re looking for some comfy heels!

Basic

It doesn’t get any more basic than jeans and a white tee, but it’s a classic look that always works. I personally love a v neck tee and the step hem on these jeans takes the look up a notch with a trendy detail that’s not so basic. I topped the look off with my favorite classic bag and cute nude heels.

What’s your favorite classic look that you always go back to?

Sweater Weather

It’s not quite sweater weather here yet, but when it has been a little cooler I’ve been loving this lightweight sweater. It’s great for fall weather when it’s not too cold, but since it’s on the thinner side for a sweater, it will be great for layering under a coat during the winter. I had this sweater in a warm brown color last year and I loved it so I’m happy they brought it back in this cool light pink shade.

Family Photos in Paris

Paris is my absolute favorite place in the world. There’s beauty and elegance everywhere you look in the city, and it’s really just a magical place. A couple years ago Jr and I decided to have photos taken of us, so we thought it would be fun to have some family photos taken on our trip there last month to capture Jaden’s first trip to Europe!

I want to share some of my favorite photos and outfit details because I’m obsessed with this pretty lace dress! I need to find excuse to wear it again soon!

Where is your favorite place you’ve travelled to?

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation

I’m always looking for a great foundation that will give me flawless skin. Make Up For Ever Ultra HD foundation is one of my long time favorites that I’ve been using off and on for probably the last 10 years. I haven’t had a bottle of it for a while, so I was so happy to have the chance to try it out again.

I love that this foundation comes in 40 shades, so everyone can find their perfect match! The foundation has a medium coverage, and I would say that it is a natural finish, and not too matte or dewy. It applies easily, and blends out effortlessly (I like using a brush). It evens out my skin tone, but still lets my skin peek through.

While I do like this foundation, it isn’t my favorite anymore, and there are a few reasons why I won’t reach for it regularly (and probably why I haven’t for a while). MUFE HD has a natural matte finish, but I tend to prefer a little more of a dewy finish since my skin tends to be more on the dry/normal side, and I just like the look of dewy skin. I don’t like wearing heavy makeup on the daily, but I do like more of a medium to full coverage foundation that will cover most of my freckles. MUFE is nice for when I just want my skin tone evened out, but it doesn’t have enough coverage to cover my freckles, which are pretty dark and I have a lot of them.

Overall, I do still like this foundation and will use it for times I only want a light makeup look, but it won’t be in my every day makeup routine. I would recommend this foundation to someone looking to even out their skin tone, but doesn’t need a ton of coverage because it has a beautiful finish and lasts for a decent amount of time on the skin.

What is your favorite foundation?

Navy Trench & Purple Heels

I don’t know about you, but I’m so ready for fall outfits! Fall is my favorite time of year and I love the fashion that goes along with it. Today I’m sharing some deeper tones that I’m loving for fall and can’t wait to wear all season long.

This navy trench is great for transitional weather since it’s light weight, and it will be great for layering over sweaters as well. I paired it with these purple suede heels because I love this color combo. Since they’re not too far off from each other, I think it’s a great way to add a little more color without being over the top.

Who else is excited for fall?

Striped Culottes

Culottes are such a fun trend that can transition from summer to fall. These ones are super light weight so they’re great for warmer weather, but paired with a denim jacket or sweater, they can also be worn into the cooler fall months.

If you’re short like me, I would recommend a pair with vertical stripes to draw the eye up, and wear them with heels. Anything to elongate your frame since culottes are a wide leg style that could make you look shorter.

Have you tried out culottes? What do you think of them?
