Memorial Weekend Whites

IMG_7097Many people say you can’t wear white until after Memorial Day, but I think that “rule” is so outdated, and to be honest, I really don’t believe in rules when it comes to fashion. Wear whatever you want, whenever you want if it makes you happy!  Fashion is meant to be fun!

I love a monochrome look and adding a pop of color kicks it up a notch and makes it a little more fun.

What do you think about fashion “rules”? Do you follow them?

Best Cropped Jeans for Short Girls Pt 2

IMG_6808Last week I shared the perfect cropped moto jeans if you’re a short girl like me. Today I’m sharing the perfect cropped jeans. These jeans hit my leg at the perfect spot without any alterations, which is very rare for me.

Jeans that fit properly, not only look and feel better, but they can also make you look taller since everything looks more proportionate.

I was searching the internet for the perfect length jeans and I was so surprised when I found them at American Eagle. When I was in high school I loved shopping at American Eagle, but I haven’t shopped there since (over 12 years), because I just thought of it being for the younger crowd. Now that I know how amazing their jeans (still) are, I’ll definitely be going back!

If you’re short like me (I’m 5’1), where is your favorite place to buy jeans?  I’d love to know!

Best Cropped Jeans for Short Girls

IMG_6196If you’re a short girl, you know how hard it is to find jeans that fit properly, let alone finding a pair that are actually cropped, and not a regular length on you. Cropped jeans are a huge trend that I’m loving right now and really wanted to find a pair that fit perfectly without any alterations. Even when I hem jeans to be the correct length, a lot of the time they still don’t look right because they’re still wider around the ankle than I’d like.

I found this pair at American Eagle and I’m absolutely loving them!  I love that they offer jeans in short, regular, and long so everyone can find their perfect fit.  Even short sizes are sometimes too long for me (I’m 5’1), but these cropped jeans hit my leg at the perfect spot. And what makes them even better is that they have a zipper detail at the ankle, something I usually have to steer clear of since they can’t be hemmed.

I also bought another pair of cropped jeans, so be on the lookout for my post featuring those!

Slouchy Spring Sweater

IMG_0821It’s finally spring!  It’s been raining here lately, but I’m hoping for some warm sunshine soon!  I love a slouchy, effortless sweater, and this one is perfect for spring because it’s lightweight, and the oversized fit is perfect if you like the off the shoulder look like I do.

Moto Joggers

IMG_0769If you haven’t noticed, I’m really loving moto details. I think it’s such a cute detail in the stitching or zippers that adds a little something extra, especially to otherwise plain sweatpants. Dressing up sweatpants with cute accessories is a look that I’ve been loving lately. By pairing them with heels and a cute jacket, it really gives sweats a different look than a sporty look sneakers would take on. What do you think of this “dressy” jogger trend?

What I Wore: All Black Party

img_4075This past weekend I attended a friend’s birthday dinner where we were asked to wear black. This was the perfect excuse for me to wear my favorite LBD. I’ve talked about this dress so many times before, but it’s definitely a staple in my closet, and has been amazing during pregnancy as well. To add a little fun to the outfit without going too bold, I wore my favorite blush pink suede heels.

Sweater Dress

img_0033Today I’m sharing what I wore for my birthday on Tuesday for dinner with my husband. I love this sweater dress, which is non-maternity and paired it with my favorite nude heels. This dress is so comfortable, and since it has ruching on the sides, it makes it perfect for my bump. It also comes in other colors and I would highly recommend it!
