Casual Warm Weather Basics

IMG_3601A few days ago we had such nice weather that I was able to bring out my shorts for a walk by the beach with my little family. I also wore my favorite sneakers. These are so cute and comfortable.

Hints of Prints

IMG_3518I don’t wear too many prints. I normally stick to solid colors, but I feel like I really should start adding some more into my wardrobe. I’m just not drawn to them, but I do love stripes or leopard print from time to time. Prints on shoes or accessories are a fun way to add to a solid color outfit, or layering. Since the hem of this sweater picks up on the sides I thought it would be fun to layer a hint of a print underneath to peak out. What is your favorite type of print to wear?

Casual Gray Trench

IMG_2812Trench coats are perfect for spring since they are light and don’t keep you too warm if the weather starts warming up. This one is a little more on the trendy side since it’s a gray faux suede. I love pairing it with a tee and jeans for a slightly more dressy look.

Blush Off the Shoulder Sweater

IMG_2169This is one of my favorite looks recently, not just because it’s one of my favorite color combos, but I’m loving off the shoulder tops and I’m obsessed with these booties!  What makes this sweater so great is that it’s cut to be worn off the shoulder so the fit is perfect. One side is shorter than the other so that it’s the same length when worn off the shoulder.

Stripes & Lace

IMG_1597I don’t wear a lot of prints, but my favorite print to wear is stripes, especially for spring and summer. I love this striped tank top with lace detail on the back. I think it’s a really pretty accent to the back of an outfit.

Slouchy Spring Sweater

IMG_0821It’s finally spring!  It’s been raining here lately, but I’m hoping for some warm sunshine soon!  I love a slouchy, effortless sweater, and this one is perfect for spring because it’s lightweight, and the oversized fit is perfect if you like the off the shoulder look like I do.

Moto Joggers

IMG_0769If you haven’t noticed, I’m really loving moto details. I think it’s such a cute detail in the stitching or zippers that adds a little something extra, especially to otherwise plain sweatpants. Dressing up sweatpants with cute accessories is a look that I’ve been loving lately. By pairing them with heels and a cute jacket, it really gives sweats a different look than a sporty look sneakers would take on. What do you think of this “dressy” jogger trend?
