Pink Trench

IMG_8745I’ve been loving the long trench coat trend.  They seem to make any outfit seem a little more pulled together and sophisticated.  I’ve been searching for one in blush, and I finally found the perfect one.  The color of this one from Asos is perfect and I love how the front of it drapes.  I let the coat be the star of the outfit by pairing it with neutral basics and my favorite shoes.  I can’t get enough of these heels!

Hope your week is off to a great start!

Pale Pink Nails

IMG_8368

Anyone whose been on the hunt for the perfect pale pink nail polish knows how hard it is to to find one that’s the perfect color and also applies completely opaque. I was on the hunt for so long until I discovered this beauty by Nails INC in collaboration with Victoria Beckham. It is in the color Bamboo White, which is described as a white nude cream, but I think it definitely has a bit of pink in it.

When I first spotted this nail polish on Sephora’s website, I’ll admit, I was drawn to it only because of my obsession with VB. With my bad luck in the past with my perfect pale pink polish search, I decided not to buy it and thought the price was ridiculous anyway.

A couple months later I saw a picture of someone wearing it and it just looked perfect!  The perfect color, the perfect opacity, it was just perfect!

So I decided to fork over the $25 for the polish, and I have to say it was totally worth it!  It’s the exact color I had been searching for and it’s mostly opaque in one coat. With two coats it is completely opaque and applies beautifully without any streaking. I think the shape of the brush really helps in application as well.  The best part about it is that, for me, it stays on for a whole week without chipping!  I really hope they come out with more shades because currently it’s only available in two shades. This is by far the best nail polish I’ve ever used. If you’ve been on the fence about it, I totally recommend it!

Have you tried any Nails Inc polishes?  What was your experience?

High Waisted

IMG_8311High waisted jeans are a trend I’ve been unsure about, but I decided to give them a try.  I surprised myself by actually really liking them.  Being petite, I’ve found that they really elongate my legs, giving the illusion of being a bit taller.  Pairing them with pointed toe shoes also helps to create the look of longer lines.  What do you think of high waisted jeans?

Summer Blues

IMG_8036

I love San Francisco, but sometimes this weather can drive me crazy!  Middle of June, gloomy weather is no fun.  I guess we can’t have it all!  Despite all the fog, I was able to pull out this cute skirt without being too cold.  I’ve had this skirt for a few weeks now, but haven’t had a chance to wear it.  I actually won it through an instagram contest Express held, so that was super exciting!  I paired it with this loose fitting crop top in a bold blue.  This color is super popular right now and popping up everywhere.  I’m generally not a huge fan of blue, but I’ve really been loving this shade.

Thanks for stopping by!

Summer Whites

IMG_7826Some warmer weather has finally arrived in the city, and its feeling like Summer.  I love all white for Summer because it just feels so fresh.  I adore skorts, and this one is one of my favorites!  The asymmetry and sharp angles give it a little more interest.   I topped off this outfit with neutral accessories to keep it from adding too many colors.  These shoes are my obsession of the moment.  The minute I saw them, I knew I had to have them!  They’re actually pretty comfortable, so that’s a plus!

Favorite Beauty Products of the Moment

IMG_7631

This is a little bit of a different kind of post for me.  Today I thought it would be fun to share the beauty products that I’ve been loving lately.  Here are my top 5 of the moment:

Too Faced Natural Matte eyeshadow palette

IMG_7635IMG_7638

This palette is a collection of 9 neutral toned matte shadows.  Neutral colored shadows are my favorite so that’s what really caught my attention.  Many brands have been putting out all matte palettes lately, but I really love every single color in this one.   They are buttery smooth and blend amazingly.  There is a good range of light to deeper colors, and cool and warm, which really makes it easy to get complete looks only using this one palette.  I originally bought this because I thought it would be great for traveling since its so compact.  I like to pack this and one single shimmery shadow, or even just use my highlight if I want to add shimmer.  And if it can get even better, I think the packaging is so cute!  Buy it here!

NYX Color Correcting Powder in Banana

IMG_7642

I’ve been on the hunt for a good concealer setting powder for under my eyes for a while now.  I really like using yellow powders to help brighten, but I haven’t found one I love until now.  This one from NYX works so well to keep my concealer from creasing and brightening under my eyes, way better than even higher end powders like Anastasia’s.  The only thing I do not like about this is that’s a loose powder, but that’s just preference.  I believe there is a pressed powder version, so I’ll probably give that a try once this runs out.  Buy it here!

ColourPop Super Shock Shadow in Amaze

IMG_7639

If you haven’t tried ColourPop, you are seriously missing out!  The texture of their eye shadows is amazing.  They have a very unique bouncy texture that almost feels wet, but when you apply it to your eyes its like a powder.  They have tons of shades to choose from, and the best part is that they’re only $5!  I’ve been loving the color Amaze which is a rose gold with mulit-colored glitter in a metallic finish.  Buy it here!

ColourPop Lippie Stix

IMG_7640

Another amazing ColourPop product is their Lippie Stix.  These lipsticks are great quality and again, are only $5!  They have an extensive array of colors and finishes, and they all have coordinating lip pencils that match.  I honestly couldn’t pick a favorite color because I’ve been loving all of the ones I have.  Pictured here is the color Tootsi, a matte cool toned greige.  The formulas are very comfortable on the lips, even the matte shades don’t feel drying.  Buy it here!

Velour Lashes in CarliLash

IMG_7647IMG_7650

I love lashes for a fun night out to amp up my look.  With my hooded lids, its sometimes hard to find false lashes that don’t overwhelm my eyes and look too long.  These are my favorite lashes I’ve ever used!  They are definitely long, but not too long, and have just the right amount of volume.  I love the look of them with clusters of lashes that flare out.  These are on the pricey side, but they can be used an average of 25 times, or even more if they’re taken care of.  Buy it here!

Hope you enjoyed!  What are some of your favorite beauty products?

Rose Gold Accents on the Boardwalk

IMG_7600

This past weekend my husband and I took a little road trip to Santa Cruz to escape the city and get some sun!  I wore this outfit for an evening on the boardwalk and a casual dinner.

Ever since rose gold became super popular a few years ago, I’ve been in love!  Gold and pink together?!  I can’t get enough of it!  For this casual look I used all rose gold accessories (except my sunglasses) to make it a little more fun since my shorts and top were so basic.

I love taking this purse on trips with me where I’m going to be walking around a lot and don’t want to have to worry about carrying a big bag all day.  It looks pretty small but surprisingly, you can fit a lot of stuff into it.  Perfect for all of my essentials!  What also makes it great is that you can adjust the chain to be shorter, remove the chain to use as a clutch, or wear it crossbody.  It’s basically every bag you need in one, which is why I love taking it traveling.

Rose gold has shown up in just about everything, so it’s easy to find any accessory with this gorgeous tone!
