Casual Pink Trench

imageSF is so cool even on summer days that sometimes you still need something to cover up (especially at night). A trench coat is the perfect option since it’s not too warm, and a pretty pink still makes it seasonally appropriate.

Topshop Jeans

imageI love the jeans from Topshop not just because of the style, but because I love the fit and they come in a great range of sizes including petite, regular, and tall. Now that I’ve been looking for maternity jeans, I’m so glad Topshop has a maternity range (which also comes in short, regular, and tall sizes) because I can continue to wear the same styles I love. I haven’t needed to buy anything else maternity aside from jeans, but Topshop makes some really cute maternity clothes similar to their regular range, which seems pretty rare.

Black Out

imageI love a monochrome outfit, especially in black. Black always looks chic, and I think black works all year round, even in summer. Monochrome is so easy because you know everything matches, but try to mix some textures like this (faux) leather jacket and cut out in the shorts. Another way to do monochrome is to use different shades of the same color. What do you think of monochrome looks?

Rocksbox

imageOver the last few months you may have noticed Rocksbox jewelry in my outfit posts. I thought I would talk about my experience with Rocksbox today and explain more about what is it.

Rocksbox is a jewelry subscription service that will send you 3 pieces of designer jewelry (including Kendra Scott, House of Harlow, and Gorjana) to try out for as long as you’d like. The subscription is $19/month and you can wear the jewelry as much as you’d like and then send it back, or you can purchase any of the pieces you would like to keep. You can also switch out the jewelry as many times as you’d like to.

Starting is simple, all you have to do is answer a few questions about your style and the browse the selection of jewelry to make your wishlist. Once you have selected pieces for your wishlist, a stylist chooses 3 pieces to send to you.  You can update your wishlist at any time and you can even add pieces to your wishlist from the Rocksbox Instagram page.

Your jewelry arrives in a pretty box tied with a pink ribbon and a letter explaining what is in your box, with prices of each piece in case you want to purchase any.  Make sure to keep the mailing package to send back your box (there’s also a prepaid label)!

Over the last few months I have really been loving this service and being able to try out new jewelry.  I think $19 is a great price to try out as much jewelry as you want, and it includes shipping both ways (which is super fast!).  If you’re someone who enjoys trying out new jewelry I think it would be great.  The only downside is that you don’t actually get to choose your own pieces. The stylists choose the pieces from your wishlist and your style survey and feedback. If you receive a box that you’re not happy with, you can send it right back and get a new selection.  You can leave feedback for each piece of jewelry in your profile so that the stylists are able to see what you like and don’t like.

This is my favorite Rocksbox I’ve received so far because I tend to love dainty pieces  and simple geometric shapes.

Blush Leather Jacket

imageI’ve been obsessed with my leather jacket from BlankNYC ever since I got it. I love the cut and the extra zipper details and how it just looks good with everything. I was all heart eyes 😍 when I saw it in this beautiful blush color!  I’ve been wanting a lighter color leather jacket to go with other outfits and this one is just perfect!  Every season they come out with new colors in this jacket, but I have to say this is by far the prettiest!

Basically Neutral

imageI love basics and I love neutrals. I feel like I could never have enough of either because they just go with everything. It makes it so much easier to mix and match different items from your wardrobe whether you’re mixing them together or with more colorful or printed pieces. Add a cute bag and shoes and you’re ready to go.

Another basic I love is stud earrings.  I love these ones because they’re a simple shape but they’re gold and marble which is so on trend right now.

Favorite Tee

imageT-shirts are a very important part of my wardrobe. They’re so easy and can be paired with anything. The most important thing to look for when shopping for t-shirts is the fit. I personally love a loose fitting v-neck. There are so many t-shirts in all different price ranges and I’ve had a hard time finding my perfect one. About a year ago I purchased my favorite one from Zara and when I went back to buy more colors they didn’t sell it anymore. I was so happy to see that they recently brought it back so I bought it in every color because I know I’ll get so much wear out of them. Do you have a favorite t-shirt? I’d love to know which one!
