Faux Fur and Shades of Gray

img_5488Faux fur is such a fun way to add texture to an outfit during the winter. Whether it’s in a scarf, a hood of a jacket, or the cuff of a pair of gloves, it adds a touch of glam that’s especially perfect during the holidays.

Black Fringe Scarf and Booties

img_4114In a post from last week I shared one of my favorite fringe scarves. Here I’m wearing it in black. I love these and get so much wear out of them in the fall and winter. I’ve also featured these booties in tan many times. Since I wear them so much and they’re so affordable, I decided it was time to buy them in another color. Both of these pieces are so affordable and versatile, so I highly recommend them!

Fringe Scarf

img_3481Scarves are one of my favorite cold weather accessories. I love how a simple accessory can transform an outfit and make you look and feel so cozy. Fringe has been a big trend, and I love incorporating it into my look with a cute fringed scarf. This one comes in lots of colors too!  I also have it in black and always get tons on wear out of them in the fall and winter months.  What is your favorite cold weather accessory?

Gray Over the Knee Boots

img_0457I love an all gray look, and a pop of blush is the perfect complement. Now that the weather is getting cooler, over the knee boots are the perfect way to still wear dresses, but keep your legs warm. Over the knee boots are always in style for fall, and suede is especially on trend!

Never Enough Blush

IMG_7679So far this year, each of my outfit posts has contained the color blush.  I didn’t really plan it that way but it’s my favorite color to wear and I think I got a little overly excited about rose quartz being the color of the year.  It’s definitely been my color of the year, at least for January 😉

Hope this first month of the year has been a great one for you!

Casual Winter

IMG_6963It was a super rainy day today so I had to hurry and snap some shots between the storms!  On rainy days I just don’t feel like putting a lot of effort into my outfit.  I want to look cute, but I also want to stay warm and dry!

I love faux leather leggings because they’re cute and comfortable, but they’re also really easy to throw on with a lot of different things and are more fun than regular leggings!  Paired with booties and a pretty scarf, its the perfect casual outfit for a day of running errands.

Purple Suede Shoes

IMG_2975

This has been the perfect outfit for these early fall days when weather can be in between and not quite cold yet.  Blanket scarves are so easy to take off if its too warm or to throw over yourself if it gets cold.  I’m really loving this window pane type print because its so simple to add to an outfit but gives a nice pattern to any look.

Now for these shoes.  They’re beautiful, but they’ve given me such a headache!  I’ve been on the search for some maroon flats because I’ve been loving that color for this season.  I found the perfect ones on Urban Outfitters’ website.  To make a very long story short, they arrived being purple, in a box clearly marked “purple”.  When I contacted their customer service, I received a response that to me, sounded like a lie.  I’m very unhappy about the situation but I decided to keep them since I do like the shoe and I haven’t been able to find another maroon flat that I like.  In case you decide to purchase these shoes, be advised, they are definitely purple, not maroon.  They have now mixed in photos of the purple shoes with the maroon to try to cover for when they send you purple when you order maroon. :/
