Simple Black & Gray

IMG_5282Sometimes simple is best.  I love simple outfits and sometimes I’m in a hurry and just need to get dressed without having to think too much about it.  I love to just throw on a simple tee and jeans, (even in monochrome like this, which makes it even easier!) and add a cute coat or jacket.  In a matter of just a few days the weather here has gone from summer to winter.  I’m just happy I can continue wearing this coat a little longer because it’s one of my favorites!

Lust Worthy Zara Coat

IMG_7962I’ve been lusting after this coat for so long. I’ve seen it on so many people and I’ve been obsessed with it, but of course it was sold out at every Zara! I even searched every Zara I came across when I was in Madrid a couple months ago. I’m pretty sure my husband got tired of me saying “ooh there’s a Zara!” lol. I was so excited when I saw it back in stock on Zara’s website a couple weeks ago and have been loving it!

Bomber Jacket

I’ve really been loving the look of bomber jackets recently.  They’re so comfortable and give a cool look to any outfit.  You can find them in just about any color or print right now.  I was so excited to find this one in burgundy since I’m obsessed with this color for this season and it will give a nice pop of color to neutral outfits or jeans and a simple tee.

Casual Chic

Nothing’s easier than denim shorts in the summer.  They’re so easy to just throw on and look good with anything.  To dress my favorite pair up, I styled them with a light-weight button-up top and heeled sandals.  This top is just as easy to throw on as a t-shirt, but it’s so much more chic, in my opinion.  To finish it off, I added my favorite bag and sunnies!

Thanks for reading!

Mixing Prints

IMG_6855 I love mixing prints because it’s a little unexpected and it adds some interest to an outfit.  Stripes and leopard are some of my favorite prints alone, but together they’re even better!  I usually try to keep the colors in mind when mixing prints so that it’s not too overwhelming, but I find that leopard print can usually be used as a neutral and can work with any color. To ground the prints, I paired them with a plain black skort. Some people may be over the skort trend, but I love them!  They’re so much fun and can be worn casually or more dressed up since they fool you into thinking its a skirt from the front. I also love them because they remind me of being a kid in the 90’s. I thought skorts were so cool because I didn’t have to worry about wearing shorts under skirts when playing on the playground 🙂 To complete the outfit I used my favorite Kate Spade purse. I love this purse because it’s a really classic and sophisticated shape, but then the bow detail on the front pocket makes it so fun and girly! Hope you enjoy!
